The celebration of the Holy Day of Silence is a form of caring for National Diversity and inspires all of us to always maintain a harmonious life as the path to happiness. In Tri Hita Karana, Hindus are taught that devotional service to God must also be manifested by maintaining harmony with others, as well as maintaining a harmonious relationship with the environment around us. Hindus are also asked to always adhere to the teachings of Wasudewa Kutum Bhakam, we are all brothers, which emphasizes the importance of true brotherhood, because we all come from the same source, from God Almighty.
Dharma Santi BUMN 2023 is a form of establishing togetherness and collaboration among Hindus as well as part of implementing the core values of AKHLAK BUMN. The main purpose of the Holy Day of Silence is to ask Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, God Almighty, to purify Bhuana Alit and Bhuana Agung. On the Holy Day of Nyepi, Hindus carry out the “Catur Brata Penyepian” which consists of:
observe light (don’t use and or start a fire)
observe works (not working)
observe the bend (not traveling) and
observing auctionuan (not enjoying entertainment), as well as practicing tapa, brata, yoga, and semadhi.
By carrying out this Nyepi series, Hindus provide a time lag for the universe to rearrange its balance, glorify nature, and will also glorify our human dignity.
